Samsung Announces Note10 Lite and Updated A-Series

Today, Samsung unveiled its latest updates to the Galaxy A-Series range, the Galaxy A71 and A51. In addition to this, the company also launched the Note10 Lite smartphone. The launch event hosted by Samsung South Africa was its first for 2020, and held at Truffles on the Park, in Sandton, Johannesburg, hosting a mix of media, VIP guests and influencers for the latest smartphones to its portfolio.

The launch highlighted Samsung’s continued efforts to bring pioneering technologies to the country, this time around, ushering in a new decade of innovation. The event was attended by brand ambassador Cassper Nyovest and hosted by presenter Maps Maponyane. The new additions to the Galaxy A-series and the Note10 Lite are set to reach South African markets in early February, all at affordable price points. The event also showcased Samsung’s dedication to its integrated ecosystem and value-added services, including Samsung Pay and Samsung Care+, now extended to the Galaxy A-series customers.

Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71

The latest line of Galaxy A smartphones were built to make meaningful innovations and a great mobile experience for everyone. The Galaxy A71 and A51 features enhanced features, including a longer-lasting battery – at 4,500mAh and 4,000mAh, respectively – to keep up with your busy lifestyle. In addition, its smarter camera was designed to help capture the world as you see it, with great viewing on the Infinity-O display for an uninterrupted visual experience.

Both devices in the range offer four top-of-the-range cameras, which includes the main, Ultra Wide, Macro and Depth cameras. Combined with the intelligent features and built-in AI from the A71 and A51, users can capture almost anything they experience in clear detail on a stunning scale – 64MP on the A71 and 48MP on the A51. The built-in intelligence detects the lighting conditions or when to switch to the Ultra-Wide lens. The inclusion of the Macro camera brings much-anticipated photography at close range with crystal clear focus.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 will be available for R6,999 and the A71 for R8,999 when launched in a few weeks.

Galaxy Note10 Lite

The Galaxy Note10 Lite forms part of the already strong line of Note smartphones. The biggest difference is that the device is now a lot more affordable and will retail from R12,999 or R599pm. While there are a few features ommitted from the Lite variant, most of the features you have come to know and love about the Note is still there, including the S Pen. The pen features Bluetooth Low-Energy support, which allows you to navigate presentations, control video content or take images remotely, all with a simple click of a button on the S Pen.

The Note10 Lite includes the Infinity-O display with a 6.7″ screen for a fully immersive experience to allow users to enjoy their favourite content. The Lite includes the largest battery from the Note range with a 4,500mAh capacity, along with super-fast charging support to get you going within minutes.
