The all-new live-action musical comedy “Disenchanted” had its world premiere at the D23 Expo 2022 in the Anaheim Convention Center just a few moments ago, and now the enchanting teaser trailer for the film is finally here! The eagerly awaited sequel to “Enchanted,” which brings back original cast members Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel, and James Marsden and also stars Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Jayma Mays, is directed by Adam Shankman and features new songs written by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.

However, by doing so, she inadvertently transforms the entire town into a real-life fairy tale, putting her family’s prospects for a happy future in jeopardy. Now, Giselle is in a race against time to reverse the enchantment and figure out what it truly means for her and her family to live happily ever after.
Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Gabriella Baldacchino, along with James Marsden and Idina Menzel star in the film Disenchanted. Brigitte Hales is credited with writing the screenplay for “Disenchanted,” which was directed by Adam Shankman and produced by Barry Josephson, Barry Sonnenfeld, and Amy Adams. J. David Stem, David N. Weiss, and Richard LaGravenese contributed to the story, and Jo Burn, Sunil Perkash, and Adam Shankman served as executive producers.
The film features songs with music composed by Alan Menken, who has won eight Academy Awards for Best Original Score, and lyrics written by Stephen Schwartz, who has won three Academy Awards for Best Original Lyrics and whose work on “Enchanted” was nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Original Score and was scored by Alan Menken.

After the success of Disney’s live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid,” it was only a matter of time before the studio announced a sequel to one of its other classic animated films. “Disenchanted,” the sequel to “The Princess and the Frog,” is set to hit theaters in December 2022.
The original “Disenchanted” was released in 2009 and starred Amy Adams as Giselle, a princess who is transported from her animated world to the live-action world of New York City. The sequel will see Giselle and her prince, Robert (played by James Marsden), adjust to life in the city with their two children.
“Disenchanted” is just one of several live-action remakes of classic Disney animated films that are currently in development or in production. Others include “The Lion King,” “Aladdin,” and “Dumbo.
