Queen Cleopatra was one of the most fascinating and powerful women in ancient history. Born in 69 BC, she was the last Pharaoh of Egypt and ruled for 21 years until her death in 30 BC. She was renowned for her beauty, intelligence, charisma, and political acumen.

Cleopatra came to power at a time of great upheaval in Egypt. She inherited a kingdom that was politically unstable and beset by economic problems. However, she proved to be an adept ruler who managed to maintain her grip on power through a combination of diplomacy, strategic alliances, and military might.

One of Cleopatra’s most famous alliances was with Julius Caesar, the Roman general who became her lover. Together they had a son named Caesarion who would become co-ruler with his mother after Caesar’s assassination.
