He spent two seasons with Sheffield United, making 34 appearances before moving to Tottenham Hotspur in 2011. He spent six seasons at Tottenham, making over 200 appearances and winning the League Cup in 2014. In 2017, he joined Manchester City for a then-world record fee for a defender of £54 million.

Walker made his senior debut for England in November 2010 and has represented his country at UEFA Euro 2012, the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2016. He was included in Gareth Southgate’s 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
