Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken Trailer #1 (2023)

Check out the official trailer for Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken starring Lana Condor!

When you think of teenage superheroes, you might envision capes, masks, and extraordinary abilities. But what if I told you that there is a teenage superhero who is not just a human but also a mythical sea creature? Meet Ruby Gillman, the Teenage Kraken. With her long tentacles and sharp intellect, Ruby has taken on the responsibility of protecting coastal communities from threats lurking beneath the waves.

Unlike other teenage superheroes who can hide their true identity behind a mask or costume, Ruby’s half-human-half-kraken nature presents unique challenges. While she yearns to fit in with her human peers, she must keep her identity a secret for fear of causing panic among those around her. Imagine navigating high school hallways while harboring secrets that could change how people perceive you forever.

Ruby’s story shines light on important themes such as identity and belonging. As she grapples with both her human and kraken sides, she learns valuable lessons about self-acceptance and embracing what makes her different. Through her adventures as the Teenage Kraken, Ruby inspires us all to embrace our own uniqueness and find our place in the world – tentacles and all!

Additionally, Ruby is prohibited from hanging out with the popular kids at the beach due to her overprotective mother (Toni Collette, an Oscar nominee for Knives Out) forbidding her from entering the water. However, everything changes when Ruby defies her mother’s strict rule and uncovers a shocking truth – she is actually a direct descendant of powerful Kraken queens and is destined to inherit the throne from her formidable grandmother (Jane Fonda, an Academy Award winner), who is known as the Warrior Queen of the Seven Seas. The Kraken have sworn to protect…
