Hot Rod (aka Rodimus and Rodimus Prime) is an Autobot who has been on Earth for a long time. Brother-in-arms to Bumblebee, as the two have fought in many battles together. Brave and patient, he has spent years undercover on earth after having been assigned to watch over Viviane Wembly, who he has grown very fond of. He is a close ally of Sir Edmund Burton and in addition to regular weapons, Hot Rod possesses a special weapon that can create temporary temporal bubbles in which time slows to a crawl. He also finds his inability to get rid of his hated French accent a source of constant frustration.

 

Starscream  is one of the most frequently occurring characters in the Transformers fictional world, appearing in almost all versions of the story. He is also one of the strongest Decepticons in Cybertronian history and a graduate of the Cybertron War Academy. Starscream is a treacherous high-ranking Decepticon who turns into a jet fighter, and desires to replace Megatron as the leader of the Decepticons.

 

Optimus Prime also known in Japan as Convoy . He is the leader of the Autobots, a fictional group of sentient self-configuring modular extraterrestrial robotic lifeforms .He is widely  featured in popular culture memorabilia and is one of the most adored Transformers Autobot’s’

Optimus Prime was formerly called Orion Pax is constantly, if not always depicted as having strong moral character, excellent leadership, and sound decision-making skills, and possesses brilliant military tactics, powerful martial arts, and advanced extraterrestrial weaponry.

Optimus Prime has a strong sense of honor and justice, being dedicated to building peaceful and mutually beneficial co-existence with humans, the protection of life and liberty of all sentient species.

As the current Matrix of Leadership bearer, Optimus Prime is the leader of the Autobots. The Autobots are constantly waging civil war against a rival faction of transforming robots called Decepticons.

 

Soundwave is one of the most recognizable characters from the original Transformers line, because of his alternate mode – a microcassette recorder – and his distinctive monotone, computerized voice.

Soundwave is able to detect and jam transmissions across the entire energy spectrum, a talent that makes him suited to his position as Decepticon Communications Officer. Additionally, he has a photographic memory thanks to the vast data storage capacity of the magnetic disks in his chest compartment, and he is armed with a shoulder-mounted laser cannon and hand-held concussion blaster.

Soundwave is physically strong compared to most Transformers. His alternative form – which involves an apparent loss of mass – is that of an Earthly microcassette deck. Within the tape compartment, which becomes his chest in robot mode, he stores a variety of Decepticon spies, all of which take the alternative form of a microcassette.

These spy characters include Ravage, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Rumble, Frenzy, Slugfest, and Overkill, all of whom are under Soundwave’s command in the original television series. Squawktalk and Beastbox were additional cassette characters under Soundwave’s control in the US toyline, who were never shown in the cartoon.

 

Jazz  is the “very cool, very stylish, very competent” member of the Autobots in the Transformers television and comic series based on the popular toy line produced by Takara and Hasbro. His original vehicle mode is a MartiniPorsche 935 turbo racing car.

Jazz is Prime’s subordinate and first lieutenant of the Autobot’s, as well as head of Special Operations, with his own dedicated roster of agents. He often gives the most dangerous assignments to himself. It is not a matter of ego.

The original Megatron was the leader and warlord of the Decepticons, a fictional faction of sentient self-configuring modular extraterrestrial robotic lifeforms from the planet Cybertron. He serves as arch-nemesis of the Autobot leader Optimus Prime.

Megatron is usually depicted as having risen up from the lowly worker to become a champion in gladiatorial combat. As a gladiator, he took the legendary name “Megatronus” as his own and would similarly inspire a later villainous character. He became an activist, trying to reform the Cybertron’s corrupted governing body and an end its unfair caste system. He mentored the young Orion Pax, and together they championed the downtrodden and preached that freedom of self-determination was the right of all sentient beings. Orion Pax would later become Optimus Prime and utilize Megatron’s teachings against him when he became corrupt.

Megatron could transform into three different types of guns; a Walther P38 handgun, a particle beam cannon, and a telescopic laser cannon.

He has the ability to transform between his robot shape and various weapons or vehicles, but these “alternate-modes”, his origins and even personality, can vary depending on which “universe” he’s depicted in.
